Specializing in sculpture and ceramics, Akemi Maegawa has received many awards from the Corcoran College and the Cranbrook Academy, including the Anne and Ronald Abramson Award for Excellence in Ceramics and the Ceramics Genius Award.
Akemi Maegawa first exhibited with Irvine Contemporary in 2004 with her performance project, "Controlling the Mass."
